Who we are
History
Kensa Designs was born as the result of a unique requirement – to create bespoke and unique pieces of furniture using antique or unloved items.
Kensa Designs was founded by Sally-Ann Maine-Tucker, who was renovating her Surrey home in 2009 and had a chance meeting with local craftsman Ken Hooks. Over the following three years, Ken and Sally-Ann worked together on several unique furniture restoration pieces and then launched Kensa Designs.
The passion and purpose with which Ken and Sally-Ann worked together (the company name Kensa comes from joining Ken and Sa for Sally-Ann) has seen numerous elegant and bespoke furniture restoration pieces being completed across London and the bordering Counties since 2012.
The vision
Kensa Designs exists to create statement pieces of furniture for our clients, combining elegant interior design skills and years of experienced craftsmanship, to produce outstanding pieces of restoration furniture.
Our vision is to set the standard in luxury furniture for the UK. Our furniture is designed for clients wanting to use their bespoke furniture to make a luxury lifestyle statement.
All of our furniture design, furniture restorations and hand-painted furniture items are carefully crafted, designed with dedication and finished with flair.
